Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Good idea poor execution

Heather 9/28/2017

My husband bought me this range as a gift because he knows how much I love to cook. I would reiterate the same problems already listed on this site by other owners. I read the Aqualift caused problems with the oven, I had used it once so I stopped using that feature. The oven will shut itself off in the middle of cooking - without warning - and then all features but broil will be unavailable. Now the stovetop is starting to shut itself off as well. I am not convinced the oven heat is accurate or consistent. It makes me sad because my husband was trying to treat me to the nicest oven I've ever had and it has so many problems. It was a very expensive purchase for us and I can't afford to replace it. My old GE profile was much better.

Disappointed

Kathy 9/16/2016

This was my first self-selected range for us in our 35 years of marriage. I thought I had made a wise choice but it wasn't. I received a gift of new cookware made especially for induction ranges . The burners don't work consistently. The large burner seldom works and the other three randomly work. One may work today but not the next day. The oven sometimes gives the message "Feature not available" and will not come on. I purchased a 5 year extended warranty. Serviceman came, ordered parts and I am still waiting for one part that has been on back order for months. I am very disappointed in this Kitchenaid product.

unpredictable

Kathy 5/31/2016

I bought this range because we could not get a gas appliance where we moved. My contractor had several set backs while remodeling the house so the range sat in storage for about 10 months before installing it. I had trouble right off trying to find cookware that would consistently operate on all of the burners. Even though the cookware said induction, it might work on one burner but not another. Then the next day it might work another burner but not the one as the day before. The oven decides when it wants to work. I got "Feature not Available" a lot. Now it won't come on at all, but the warming drawer works! I bought an extend warranty but since we are in a rural area the company handling my extended warranty can't find anyone to service it. They said that if I can find someone, they will 'reimburse' me. Still looking for that someone. This was my first purchase of a range, and I am really disappointed. I need an appliance that works every time!

Kitchenaid Stove YKIRS608BSS

maggie 11/3/2015

Purchased in Nov 2013. Love the induction cooktop but recently the large burner starts, then beeps and shuts off "no pan" message! Oven shuts off for no reason but can be reset by switching off main breaker. Warranty replaced the clock twice thinking that was the problem. Still happens! Aqualift technology means you have to scrub by hand-hate it. Liked my old self-cleaning oven. Can't trust the oven to stay on, quits without warning-takes a long time to heat! Don't buy this without extended warranty or perhaps I should say, DON'T BUY THIS!

Alternative to Gas

hornetsc360 9/23/2015

This is in a seasonal home so it doesn't get the amount of use some would normally give it. But with that being said, we would have preferred natural gas but that is not available in our neighborhood of Texas - go figure! Induction give good performance but it is not gas.

Could use a few changes.. but, would buy again!

Skeptical 5/4/2015

I have had this range for almost two years. I am happy with the induction free standing range overall and the price is very competitive. The design appearance is modern, although, I prefer a sleeker more "commercial" and less "residential" look. I am not happy that the oven does not preheat quickly enough (it is really ridiculously slow) and I have had to replace the "computer board" for the induction cook top, already (just over the one-year mark, so, I am holding my breath approaching the two-year mark). ... which really makes me nervous about the product. But, as far as "bang for the buck"... this is the range. And the idea of "induction", rather than "gas", is fabulous ( I previously owned a Jenn-Air dual fuel, which was very nice and a GE Cafe duel fuel, which was beautiful to look at, but, not as consistent as the Jenn-Air... also, had a third house with a Whirlpool electric cooktop, which heated quickly and was easy to clean, but, electric bills were a bit high)... although, it did take some time for me to learn not to turn up the stove with induction and turn away! .... I burned and boiled over any number of dishes for the first few weeks of owning it. Wouldn't want any other type of range anymore! Love it!

Has been out of service most of the time we have had it

TerryWilson 2/8/2015

The range burners went out on the right side Christmas day. It took three weeks to get it fixed. Then worked a month and now the burners are out on the left side, waiting for repair. We bought all new appliances in December all Kitchen Aid. We are terribly disappointed. The microwave does not work as well as old one, takes longer to cook something. The refrigerator is very noisy. The dishwasher does not get the the dishes dry, after finishing cycle everything is still wet. WE ARE EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH ALL OF OUR NEW KITCHEN AID APPLIANCES!!!

Great induction range!

Avooca 12/3/2014

Excellent range! If you haven't used induction cooking before, stop waiting. The large CLEAR glass window to the oven is great so you dont have to open the door to see everything inside. Also, the middle rack pulls all the way out and can support a full roast, etc with ease. I knew the bottom drawer was a warming drawer but I wasn't expecting it to be so small. If you are planning to use it as a storage drawer, you will be sad when you see how little fits, just FYI. No fault of the range, but just be mindful. We have a small kitchen as is, so the extra space we're using to store some backing dishes is a bummer. There is also a small design flaw (I guess?) - on the front of the unit behind the handle / above the window are vents for some reason. We found them when we spilled something on the cooktop and liquid went into the vents - they lead to BETWEEN the outer and inner glass panes of the door, with no way to get in there for cleaning.... maybe I can take the door apart to clean in there but I haven't checked into that yet. Oh and the AquaLift cleaning system is OK but you have to use it often if you want the inside of your oven to stay clean. It won't turn year old baked on crust into dust. But it works fine!

Really like this way of cooking

RGS1and 2 12/1/2014

While I have given the other Kitchenaid appliances we purchased a four-star rating because of weak documentation (instruction manuals) the range gets the full five stars because we have had a chance to use it more, and the maul seemed more complete. The immediate responsiveness of the induction cooktop takes a bit of getting used to but it cooks very nicely. We really like the fact that it heats quickly and reduces heat almost immediately, making it very easy to adjust. I used to have to put my old electric range on high to heat it up then turn it down. Not so with the induction because it responds quickly. The conventional/convection oven cooks very nicely and is easy to use. We have cooked meat and baked bread with excellent results. We haven't used the warming oven yet.

Love induction, but oven keeps shutting off

JacqueB 10/30/2014

The induction cooktop is great. The oven shuts off often and has to be pulled out, unplugged, after reset time it will work. First range purchased Feb 2013, replaced Nov 2013 by Kitchenaid, the new range still has the same problems. Oven shuts off randomly, without warning. When cooking a holiday meal, we must check that the oven is on constantly.

This thing is garbage

Shumpelstilskin 10/27/2014

For me, it was actual garbage. I have multiple problems with my range--so much so that KitchenAid replaced it with another unit. Then the replacement unit broke the first time I used it. After this I asked for a full refund for my purchase. I replaced this unit with an Electrolux and haven't had any further issues. I hope to never purchase another KitchenAid product as long as I live.

Great Appliance!

Glen Wood 10/7/2014

After reading other reviews regarding this appliance, we purchased the unit aware of it strengths and weaknesses. The induction top is great and cleaning the stove top is so much easier than any electric element or gas cook top. The oven as in other reviews has been a disappointment. I expected it to work similar to my parents double ovens but it doesn't. The convection conversion lowers the temperature but doesn't shorten the cook time so why use it? Also the cook time starts to count down while the oven is still pre-heating. It is sort of confusing. So far though the oven hasn't shut off during the baking process as other reviewers have stated. The oven cleaning feature works better than I thought it would. I was surprised at how well it does clean after reading other reviews. It is great not to have the burnt odor or chemical smell that is common with old self cleaning ovens or using chemicals to remove charred remains. Other than the convection oven controls being a challenge, we are very happy with the purchase.

Some QC issues

Unimpressed so far 8/26/2014

To begin with, we are very happy with this range. HOWEVER, the main circuit board under the burners exploded with a rifle-shot loud bang within minutes of use. Our dealer told us that Kitchen Aid would repair or replace the circuit board. We refused the "offer" and demanded a new stove which we received a week or so later. Sadly, we had the same situation in the second range! This time, we figured we had a better chance with a new board rather than another new stove. Kitchen Aid then sent us two circuit boards within a week. With luck ONE of those boards will last until the repair person's taillights are out of sight! Luckily, the defective board which apparently only zaps the two left top burners, leaves the rest of the range unaffected, so we've been able to use the other burners and oven features. The range lives up to its billing...though our confidence in its long-term life are yet to be proved... Too Bad Kitchen Aid's Quality Control missed this apparent defective circuit board problem and didn't notify their dealers to at least forewarn the customers that there "might" be "problem" and that Kitchen Aid had a plan to rectify any defective issues in a prompt manner. Our range was delivered nearly 4 weeks late and with the circuit board issues, we haven't been able to fully use it in nearly 2 months. At the very least Kitchen Aid should at least double their warranty on this model out of courtesy to those of us who purchased it. Oddly, please re-read our first sentence!

Stove doesn't last more than a week

Chris567 8/19/2014

Within a week of receiving our new stove, we heard a loud pop and the stove went dead. I reset the 50 amp circuit breaker and half of the stove top would no longer work. The stove is rated at 40 amps so it should not have tripped the breaker unless something was wrong with it. Three weeks later we received a replacement stove and while cooking the first meal on it, the same thing happened again. We requested the store to pick it up and we have now purchased a stove from a different company.

Induction is good

billt1 1/27/2014

Being forced to stay with electric as opposed to gas I wanted the best cook top I could get. I have to say this rivals or exceeds gas for performance and it's really easy to clean. No regrets. You will have to become accustomed to the hum it makes as the magnets engage with the pot but no big deal. You will not believe how fast this heats and cools. The controls could be a little easier. You have to press ?On" first before turning it up. I think you should be able just to turn it on in one step. Again, no big deal.

Placed a service call wish me luck

Lilymunster 1/13/2014

I have to say that I really love this range and the induction is awesome. However, I am very concerned about my stove turning off when baking, it has happened at least 4 times. I purchased in mid June and there weren't many reviews at that time but came back to site to schedule repair and am alarmed at the number of others who purchased at similar time and appear to have same problem with it turning off while baking (Thanksgiving, Christmas eve I imagine if I cooked more often I would have had it happen more often) It seems to me there may be a production error and I am hoping that my range will be repaired. I plan of using the heck out of it after the repair to assure it is repaired properly before the warranty runs out. I really don't want to purchase extended warranty to ensure I am covered for a manufacturers defect. I'll post back my results and I also recommend that if you are having this problem that your report it!

Induction cooking is better than gas

GMANancy 1/2/2014

I absolutely love this stove. The induction cooking has taken the worry away from my husband burning himself or leaving the burners on. The best part is there is no clean up on the stove top since nothing sticks to it. I love the boost feature to reach boiling temperatures in just over a minute and that you can melt chocolate without using a double boiler. Love the even heat baking with both the regular and convection settings. My only issue is that the preheating of the oven is really slow. I just know that I have to allow ten-fifteen minutes to pre-heat. My old stove had a warming drawer that I seldom used and ended up storing pans in it. Not this one I am using it frequently. Did I say I love this stove?

Great stove - KitchenAid® 30-Inch 4-Element Induction Freest

bnkroush 12/24/2013

We recently redid our kitchen and replaced all the old appliances with the KitchenAid Architect® Series II appliances. We found that they had most if not all the features that we were looking for, the Stainless Steel finish made for easy clean-up they brighten up the room and look great! The induction is great for heating things up quickly and when they are turned off they cool off just as quickly (we had thought about getting a gas range for these reasons), this does not have any of the disadvantages that a gas range does! The top surface is easy to clean and keep looking like new, the controls are easy to figure out with a wide variety of settings and the clock, timer and oven controls are easy to set! So far we love it!

Induction stove is wonderful, BUT oven has major issues

saf2013 12/24/2013

I purchased this range because I wanted an induction stovetop and couldn't be happier with the stopetop cooking. The oven has been an issue from the very start. I have never had an oven that takes so long to preheat. Once preheated, the oven seemed to be hotter than the specified temperature. Things always cooked too quickly and I often had to adjust the temperature lower (always set convection 25 degrees lower than recipe called for). Recently, in the middle of cooking Christmas cookies, the oven turned itself off. I have been unable to get the oven to work since then - when I prest start to preheat it gives me the message "Feature Not Available." I have tried several things to get it to work again, but now I have a 6 month old range with an oven that does not work. It is a shame that such a wonderderful induction stovetop was mated with a poor quality oven.

Design flaws

cooksgoodfood 12/24/2013

I've had the range about 6 months now. I love how responsive the burners are. I like how the hots get very hot and the low stays very low. But a lot of times the oven stops working in the middle of baking and I get weird computer codes. I have to shut the range off at the fusebox and restart it. This is bad for baking! It is also scary because it all seems to stop working for no reason at all. And if I push the timer off twice by mistake it turns off the oven. Why? I bought an extended warranty because I now have little faith that this range will keep functioning in the long run. Also, the aqualift oven cleaning function is worthless. The bottom of the oven cleans up but the sides just bake on harder. They tell you not to use oven cleaner so you are stuck scrubbing ineffectually with a soft sponge and water. At least the stinky slow old-style oven cleaning works. This doesn't.

Marie207 12/22/2013

Mostly I love my new induction range. However the oven just turns off, has done that three times now and I have had it 2 months. Has to be some kind of programming problem but its VERY annoying to have no heat on when in the middle of baking! Love the responsiveness of the burners but trying to use a cast iron grill pan doesnt work- the burners turn off when they get too hot.

I have had this range for almost 6 months. I love the induction cook top, but it's an adjustment - one I make gladly because of the speed and efficiency and the ease of cleaning. The heat settings range from melt, keep warm, to multiple-levels each of simmer, medium, high, and boost - a kind of turbo setting. I find that I consistently use lower heat levels than I did with the electric burners on my old range. The heat goes directly into the pan. The kitchen doesn't heat up when you are cooking - a blessing in hot weather. Burners shut off automatically if a pan is removed. I had to get new cookware. I'm still struggling with finding the right temperature to avoid burning and sticking. As for the oven, the heating coils for baking are not situated inside of the oven chamber, so it takes a bit longer to heat. I have just tried the aqua-clean feature, and I found it underwhelming. But the cleaning cycle is 40 minutes, not 4 hours. There is no high heat to turn the splatter into ash. I need to clean it before it becomes a struggle to remove the grease with a non-abrasive sponge. I used to keep pans in the bottom drawer of my stove. Not with this range. The drawer is shallow because the oven has been made larger. It works as a warming drawer. I can still store tops.

I enjoy cooking with the induction cook top.

Leigh 12/3/2013

Cooking on the induction cook top is awesome. Water boils within a few minutes. The heat is evenly distributed in the pan which make for ease of cooking. The oven to me is a standard type oven. I do like the convection conversion feature which takes the guess work out of what temperature to cook food at. Overall, I am very pleased with my new KitchenAid Range

Induction is the way to go

MNSue1 11/5/2013

I took a chance when buying this Induction kitchen range, did not know anyone that owned this type of range. I'm very happy, it is easy to clean, easy to use, and amazes me with it's speed. You must read the manual, be prepared to purchase induction suitable cookware. I bought Circulon cookware at Costco, it was inexpensive and works fine. The burner set up is a bit different from my previous Maytag electric smoothtop. It has a medium and small burner in the back, large and small burners in the front. It was an adjustment, but seems to work fine. You must use the proper pan for the burner size, this is important. The burner will not work if the pan is too large or too small. I'm not a fan of the Aqua Clean oven...but I'm nor surprised, This is the way of the future and I didn't have a choice of my old "hot" self cleaning oven. Be prepared to use a bit of elbow grease...no cooking bacon in the oven or prime rib, just too messy to clean after cooking.

infinite control of temperature is fantastic

agam 8/7/2013

I replaced all of my pots and pans to use this range but the set that I purchased doesn't even have all the pans necessary to use all of the burners on this range. the sizes are very specific and will not work at all if you are not completely covering the burner with the pan. This is sometimes a pain and I think it might be better if there were two medium sized burners as opposed to only one. I have yet to use the one big burner because I haven't found a pan large enough so that it will work.

Induction range

Okie 8/7/2013

We have only had it a short time, but so far it is fantastic! It is easy to operate and the heat control is great. Next best thing to a gas range. Have not used the self clean oven yet, so am not able to critique that.

Very pleased with this product.

We have had our new Kitchen Aid Induction stove for about 3 weeks now and are enjoying it very much. Cooking on the stove top is now more precise in temperature level control and speed of cooking is fast to heat. Cleaning the glass top surface of the induction stove is so much easier than my old radiant cook top. Spills don't cook on anymore; I just wipe it clean and dry it down to prevent streaking. I am still learning how to cook with the convection oven since it tends to dry things out a bit however, I am sure in time I will master the differences. The only thing I find a bit frustrating is the oven seems to take a good 15 min or more to heat to temp. I would highly recommend this range to anyone in fact I have shown my friends who wish they had one now. I wish it had come in white vs. stainless however. I find stainless to be high maintenance.

Speed of heating and easy to clean

Carol1 6/25/2013

I love the speed of heating foods on the cook top. Also appreciate the ability to control temperature quickly. Cook top is easy to clean. I like the largest 'burner' being in the front. One of the reasons I chose this model. Haven't used the oven much yet, but it works. Must be well insulted because it takes some time for it to cool down when the oven is turned off. Will enjoy that in the winter....open the oven door and let the heat escape.

Induction is the way of the future

xaldx 5/14/2013

At first, I was going to switch from electric to natural gas for gourmet cooking. I took a leap of faith buying a relatively expensive induction range/convection oven, but it has exceeded my expectations. I admit I was fascinated by the idea of magnetism safely inducing heat in the cookware. Induction is simply the best way to cook! It is extremely energy-efficient, actually cutting my electric bill 15% compared to the old power-wasting conventional electric stove top. At the same time, it is lightning fast in generating heat. It also has the unique ability to fine tune the temperature instantly and digitally. No guesswork and expensive mistakes. I rarely need the HIGH setting--unless I am just boiling water. Set it to simmer, and I am simmering instantly. It does take some getting used to! The range top does not get very hot, and of course it has no gas that can be a safety hazard. So it is IMO the safest way to cook if you have children tenants or shut-ins. If you pull your pan off the range, the heating just stops. I did go out and buy a good set of RegalWare that is compatible with induction. But I couldve gotten by with a couple of good no-stick fry pans. (You really should have good pans regardless of your heat source, and most good cookware is now induction-compatible.) I haven't had to clean the oven yet but the range is very easy to clean. It is nice to know I can hopefully keep my stove clean without chemicals.

This range exceeds expectations.

TimD 5/14/2013

I have had this range for three months now and I believe it is the best range I have ever cooked on. The induction cook top regulates the temperatures so well I do not need a double boiler to melt butter or chocolate. It brings foods up to temperature fast and allows you to maintain proper temperatures. The convection oven heats evenly and performs flawlessly. I would highly recommend this range.

This is a great and nice looking product!

conz 5/14/2013

In the home we recently bought we have a kitchen which we have decided to leave as is except for appliances. We needed a free standing range and although we had hoped to install gas lines to have a dual fuel range, it was to be very expensive and a huge upheaval within the cabinets. My cousin, a CIA trained chef, suggested looking at induction products. We couldn't be happier. It is responsive, extremely easy to clean vs. other ranges, has a warming drawer, and a convection oven. It is stainless steel so we feel we have an updated kitchen with a reasonable price tag. I would heartily recommend this product to anyone who is looking at various types of ranges. The only thing I needed to do was to purchase a few more pots and pans which are magnetized. This is ever so easy these days!
