Energy efficient, cold, good dehumidification, but loud on high

Well made unit, very energy efficient, cold air, and good dehumidification (in Florida takes 60% to 45% or less) in a 500 sq/ft room. But when using it in the same 500 sq/ft room with mostly 10' ceilings that I watch TV and listen to music, it was too loud on high and medium for me, on low it was pretty good except that there was an annoying but not loud rattle from the case, solved by placing a 10 lb dumbbell on end at the center of the case. But in the end returned to HD and got the bigger 15,000 BTU version, put that one in an adjacent 550 sq/ft room of my L-shaped 1750 sq/ft home and it cools the whole house with doors open between rooms, just amazing how good both the 12k and 15k units are at cooling large areas! The WiFi app is good, does hang up sometimes, just exit and reopen and is fine. Great to be able to turn on to precool home before getting home, or control when at home.

Only had unit since Saturday and it™€™s doing the job. Major complaint is that there is no indicator light to let you know when it is turned on. With the unit in Eco mode and not running, someone has to manually push a button to see if the unit is turned on.

This unit works great at keeping the house temp down, even when it™€™s been up to 100 where I live. The only issue I™€™ve had is fiddling with the programmable on/off schedule. Also, this unit saves on power. My bill is down using this versus using my evaporative cooler. It also keeps the living room cooler than the swamp cooler did too.

My house has been 80 to 85° all summer and I finally purchased this unit and now it stays at a cool 74 and will go lower if I wanted it. I love the wireless feature so I can turn it off and on when I™€™m away and then it comes on automatically and turns off once the temperature has been reached.

I chose my AC because of the cooling capacity as well as the features it has. Other brands were not able to use WIFI to adjust the settings. For me, this is important as I have pets at home and work 11 hours at night. Last night, it was 82 outside when I left for work, and it went down to 65. I was able to turn my AC to fan only which prevented it from getting too cold and running my AC for no reason. I can also lower the temps if it gets hotter when I™€™m away so they are comfortable. That was a huge selling point. My brother owns a Frigidaire, and it has been trouble-free for years. I bought this one because of the trusted name, the convenience, and because I know it will keep me and my pets cool when I need it the most.

So far so good! Used to have a smaller GE unit and it gave in so I was looking for a replacement. Could not have asked for a better fix! The app integration and simplicity of the design make this a delight to use. I'm yet to get my first electric bill but so far it's been a couple 100+ degree days and the unit keeps up like a champ. Hope I won't come to regret having a more powerful unit but at least I'm keeping cool. Would buy again!

My mom purchased this model as a replacement for her old Frigidaire window unit in the hopes that it would run much quieter than the older unit. Unfortunately this new unit is just as loud as the old unit. My mom has emphysema and wears a hearing aid. She needs the air circulating in order to breathe comfortably but can't hear her TV with this unit running. The reason she bought a new one. So IF she wants to watch the TV at a reasonable volume she is turning off the ac. It does do a great job cooling her living area BUT sounds like you are in the middle of an airstrip.

It draws a lot of power in our small apartment, but it does make the room fairly cool on days <90 degrees outside. We have a living room that moves into a hallway, and when it's very hot (>90 degrees) it does not completely cool this larger space. The remote feature is very appreciated--you can turn it on prior to getting home!

Louder than my Freidrich but love the app

I got this 12000 btu a/c to replace a 12000 Freidrich that I had. Pros- I love the app! It is so convenient to adjust all settings from my phone. It's dimensions are smaller than my previous unit, so it is lighter. The digital display is not on continuously so my room stays nice and dark even while it is running. It was reasonably priced for a 12000 btu unit.Cons- it doesn't seem as powerful as my old a/c. It cools the room down, but it needs to be set a degree or two lower than the temp I want the room to be, and it needs to be on the "cool" setting, rater than the "eco" setting to maintain said temp.It is noticeably louder than my previous a/c. Not to the point that is deafening, but louder nonetheless. It does not have a "dry" setting. I miss this setting so much! To the point that I would have returned this unit if it had not already been installed through my wall. Yes, it is installed through the wall. I have had several window units put through the wall with no problems. I do not anticipate this will give me any trouble either.
